Gesventure was established in 1999 on the initiative of Francisco Banha and Cristophe Chausson, two entrepreneurs whose personal and professional experiences converged on many themes, namely their passion for supporting new entrepreneurs in raising capital to enable their companies to create sustainable value for society.
As a company specializing in strategic and financial advice for small and medium-sized operations, our purpose is to enable entrepreneurs to achieve their goals by raising capital to strengthen their projects while benefiting from the experience, knowledge, and network of contacts in the business ecosystem that this type of investor possesses.
Within this framework, Gesventure has, year after year, strengthened its involvement with the national and international community of Business Angels, Venture Capital Operators, specialized corporate finance networks, infrastructures to support innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as in the design and promotion of public policies in which it is worth highlighting the support for the creation of the first two Business Angels co-investment funds launched in the Portuguese market.
We are an entity that takes transparency seriously, priding ourselves on having a controlled process (audited by APCER under the ISO 9001/2015 standard) that achieves growth, maximizes value, and guarantees entrepreneurs high completion rates in capital-raising transactions. At the same time, we are firm in protecting the confidentiality of the operations we are involved in, avoiding gaps and discontinuities in interactions that could influence a lower interest and/or lack of trust between entrepreneurs and investors. For the same reasons, we only work with entrepreneurs with ethics and integrity, whether in the social, environmental, civic, and/or business fields.

Venture capital, in addition to being a minority stake in a company’s capital and management, is, above all, a decisive factor in uniting ideas, efforts, and wills and helping to stimulate entrepreneurs’ talent and courage.
Venture capital plays a fundamental role in increasing people’s social and economic well-being by fundamentally adding knowledge capital to projects resulting from “know-how,” national and international contact networks, and, above all, the credibility it gives to “ideas.”
Within this framework, our team ensures constant improvement in entrepreneurs’ satisfaction in their relationship with this type of investor, satisfaction of stakeholders’ needs and expectations, and, more generally, respect and recognition of the idiosyncrasies of the organizations themselves and their internal and external context.
Satisfying these vectors is ensured by defining processes based on identifying the requirements of all stakeholders and outlining and reviewing objectives related to the satisfaction of entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.
Process performance is reviewed and improved based on indicators, audit results, and risk and opportunity analyses.
Any complaints or other feedback from stakeholders is monitored and evaluated to eliminate flaws and identify opportunities for improvement.
